This old style door does not allow access to the embedded storage controls and indicators with out opening the cabinet door. These doors must be replaced with a new style door. The newer door allows access to embedded storage controls and indicators with out opening the cabinet door. Procedures for replacing a door are included in this document. -------------------------------------------------------------- | **WARNING** | | Care must be used in removing the new door | | from its shipping container. This container | | must be used to return the old door. | | | | **NOTE**This procedure is to be used only on | | waivered systems, NOT on field upgrades. | ------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Inspect the packaging containing the new door for any obvious shipping damage. Ensure that any such damage is noted and reported thru normal channels. 2. Using care not to damage the packaging, unpack the new door from it's shipping container. 3. Remove and set aside the enclosed shipping tape and label. These will be used for packaging and shipping the old door. 4. Inspect the new door for any damage. 5. On the system, remove the door ground strap from the door only. This ground strap will be used on the new door, therefore it is not necessary to remove the ground strap from the system frame. NOTE: The door hinges contain a spring loaded pin that can be lifted up and turned to an unlocked position. 6. While supporting the door, lift and unlock both top and bottom door hinge pins. Set door aside. 7. On the new door, align and support the door while lifting and releasing the hinge pins into the hinges. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ | FCO 64XMX-S001 | | | | | | | | | |d|i|g|i|t|a|l| | PAGE 3 OF 3 |_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | _______________________________|_________________________________________ 8.
