The commands I, U, START cannot be initiated unless the machine is halted. 3. The entire word TEST must be typed to invoke micro diagnostics. 4. System may crash when the PRO is powered off. This fix needs Console Rev "22E" and VMS V4.6. 5. The NBIB may log a "Read Retry Timeout" error when two other devices capable of Interlock instructions are on the same BI. This problem is fixed with a change to the CPU microcode. FIELD EFFECTIVITY: Retrofit all VAX 8700 systems to Revision Level "C1". It will change the revision of the VAX 8700/8810 systems to "D1". QUICK CHECK: When the system is booted, it will automatically print the Console microcode revision on the screen. It should be V8.0. This revised FCO supersedes Rev. A released 27 July 1988. It has been revised to correct steps 1 through 4 located on pages 10 and 11. This fixes the problem of the 64 meg memory arrays not always being able to isolate a problem down to the failing FRU (daughter board) when the failure is intermittent memory problems. It will change the revision of the above systems to "E1". The revision of PC37N will change to "N03". This revised FCO supersedes Revision B, released 19 March 1990.
