Have the Customer bring down their operating system in an orderly fashion. Then power down the system to be worked on via the console switch. ********************************************************* * !! CAUTION !! * * * * AC POWER MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE * * SYSTEM BEFORE PROCEEDING. * * * ********************************************************* 2. Remove the AC power from the system by setting the ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position, and unplug the AC power cord from the wall socket. 3. Gain access to the DC Power Cable by doing the following: a. Open the control panel door. b. Loosen the screw that connects the left side panel to the front of the enclosure frame. c. Pull the bottom of the panel out. This releases it from two snap fasteners. d. Lift the panel slightly to release it from the top lip at the top of the frame and remove the panel. 4. Disconnect the DC Power Cable from J9A on the power supply and J1 on the backplane. 5. Disconnect the DC Power Cable from J9B on the power supply and J2 on the backplane. 6. Install the new DC Power Cables included in the EQ kit. 7. Power up the system by the following procedure: a. Plug the AC power cord back into the wall outlet. Turn the power on from the console and let the self test run to completion. It must run successfully. 8. Update the Site Management Guide to reflect this FCO. 9.
