Slide the top chassis cover forward about 1cm (3/8 in). The four metal tabs of the top chassis cover should slide out of the holes in the rear of the bottom chassis cover. ************************************************************** * WARNING * * The DEREP module is an electrostatic discharge sensitive * * device. The use of the VELOSTAT kit is essential to * * prevent damage which may not be noticed immediately. * ************************************************************** FIBER OPTIC MODULE REMOVAL NOTE: (Steps 11 thru 13 will only be necessary for DEREP-RC and DEREP-RD.) 11. Remove the two screws from the rear standoffs, using an Xcelite X100 screwdriver, Digital P/N 29-13470-00. 12. Gently pull the locking clip of the remaining standoffs away from the module. 13. Reverse sequence steps 14 thru 1 to restore the DEREP back to normal operation. If unit is not a DEREP-RC or DEREP-RD ignore steps 13 thru 11. 18. For DEREP-RA and DEREP-RB at Rev. "B1" or below install Brady Markers "C" and "1" over the existing Rev. on the unit tag located at the rear of the DEREP. 19. For DEREP-AA, DEREP-AB, DEREP-RC, and DEREP-RD at Rev. "C1" or below install Brady Markers "D" and "1" over the existing Rev. on the unit tag located at the rear of the DEREP. 20. Power on the Repeater and insure that it successfully passes the internal power-on self-test diagnostic. 21. Complete LARS data as per example. 22. Update the Site Management Guide to reflect the installation of this FCO. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ | FCO DEREP-R001 | | | | | | | | | |d|i|g|i|t|a|l| | PAGE 4 OF 4 |_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | _______________________________|_________________________________________ LARS USA GIA EUROPE Activity - Contract and Warranty W U Y Non Contract/Non Warranty F U F DEC Option DEREP DEREP DEREP Type of Call M M M Action Taken D D I Fail Area-Module-FCO-Comments DEREP-R001 DEREP-R001 DEREP-R001 Material Used EQ-01521-01 EQ-01521-01 EQ-01521-01 \^ DEREP \\DEREP \\BENSON \\1989 \\FEB \\FCO_DOCS
