Obtain the Customer's permission and power down the System to be worked on via the console switch. Locate the Main Breaker (CB1) on the Cabinet Power Controller and set it to the "0" (OFF) position. ************************************************************************** * !! CAUTION !! * * * * Do not slide any BA11 box out of its cabinet unless the cabinet * * is bolted to an adjacent cab or the stabilizer legs are extended. * * Only one cabinet is allowed to have an option or box pulled out * * at any one time. * ************************************************************************** 2. Gain access to the appropriate BC08S-10 internal cable of the DMR11 M8203 module and H3001 I/O panel configuration to be reworked. 3. Disconnect the Berg(tm) plug of the BC08S-10 cable from the Berg(tm) connector of the M8203 (J2) module. 4. Disconnect the external interface cable from the 25-pin male D-sub connector on the face of the H3001 I/O panel. 5. Remove the H3001 I/O panel from the System I/O bulkhead. Disconnect the BC08S-10 from the 40-pin male Berg(tm) connector on the rear of the I/O panel. 6. Remove the disconnected BC08S-10 cable from the System cabinet. 7. Insert the Berg(tm) plug from one end of the (P/N 7020956-10) round cable into the 40-pin male Berg(tm) connector on the rear of the I/O panel. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ | FCO CK-DMR11-AD-B1-R-001 | | | | | | | | | |d|i|g|i|t|a|l| | PAGE 3 OF 3 |_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | _______________________________|_________________________________________ ********************************************** * NOTE * * * * THE 70-20956-10 ROUND CABLE CONTAINS * * "THIS SIDE UP" LABELS ON THE BERG(tm) * * PLUGS. Route the free end of the (P/N 70-20956-10) round cable through the opening in the I/O bulkhead. Continue routing the cable through the cabinet to the Berg(tm) connector (J2) of the M8203 module. Keep in mind that the cable must be routed and dressed in a manner compatible with existing cabinet cabling. 9. Connect the (P/N 70-20956-10) Berg(tm) plug into the Berg(tm) connector (J2) on the M8203 module. Connection will be made with the "THIS SIDE UP" label facing in a direction away from the component side (side 1) of the M8203 module. 10. Reinstall the H3001 I/O panel into the opening (created during Step 5) of the System I/O bulkhead. 11. Insert the H325 turnaround test connector into the 25-pin male D-sub connector on the face of the H3001 I/O panel. 12. Reset the CB1 on the Cabinet Power Controller and power up the System using the console switch. 13. Load and execute the M8203 repair level diagnostic EVDMA (VAX-11 Systems) or static diagnostic CZDMS (PDP-11 Systems). Select the H325 turnaround type mode to verify the module, cabling, and I/O panel operation. Obtain a minimum of five error-free passes. 14. Remove the H325 turnaround test connector. Reconnect the external interface cable to the 25-pin male D-sub connector on the face of the H3001 I/O panel. The cable should exit the cabinet with the other signal cables. \^ DMR11 \\DMR11 \\CK-DMR11 \\CK-DMR11-AD \\JOSEPH \\1985 \\NOV \\FCO_DOCS
