PROBLEM: Unibus time-outs occur on devices that use buffer data 
paths.

IN-PLANT EFFECTIVITY: DEC 84

FIELD EFFECTIVITY: All 11780 & 11785 Systems that exhibit Unibus Timeout Errors 
due to a Prefetch Read Command Error or use Buffer Data Paths in the 
DW780 need this FCO. The minimum acceptable revision of modules in 
spares stock is as follows: M8271-Etch Rev. "A", Part Rev. "F1" and 
M8271-Etch Rev. "B", Part Rev. "F2".


QUICK CHECK: Presence of 74S74 at location E118.

The DEC on-site labor charge will be the time required to install and test
the FCO at the then current hourly rate.
