_ DEC-O-LOG for KDB50 _ DOL, KDB50-R001, DISK, MAR 87 PROBLEM: I. This problem exists only on a read of the disk, of either eight or twelve bytes. The KDB50 will overwrite the two bytes of data following the buffer area. II. When crossing the 64K boundary, the controller fails to increment the upper 16 bits of addressing, thus writing incorrect data to the disk. III. When the KDB50 completes a data transfer after crossing a 64K boundary, the address of the last word gets written to its 64K address lower than it should have been. FIELD EFFECTIVITY: All VAXBI systems using the KDB50 DSA disk controller. This FCO incorporates ECO's T1002-CX008, T1002-CX009 and T1002-CX010. QUICK CHECK: Part number on PROM at E97, 23-127F6-00. If PROM 23-127F6-00 is already installed in socket E97 on the KDB50 microprocessor module, then this FCO does not need to be performed. This revised FCO supersedes the original release dated 28 October 1986. It has been revised to correct part Rev identification to the T1002 module. FCO KIT ORDERING: EQ-01429-01 FCO, PARTS FA-04714-01 FCO only _ DOL, KDB50-R002, DISK OCT 88 PROBLEM: A number of problems have been resolved by correcting the ucode. FIELD EFFECTIVITY: All VAXBI systems using the KDB50 DSA Disk Controller. This FCO is an absolute requirement for all ULTRIX based systems. The T1002 module must be at Revision "D" or higher to implement this FCO. If the T1002 module is below Rev. "D", replace it. QUICK CHECK: P/N on PROM at E97, 23-006U2-00. If PROM 23-006U2-00 is already installed in E97 on the T1002 module, then this FCO isn't needed. FCO KIT ORDERING: EQ-01507-01 FCO, PARTS FA-04802-01 FCO only
