Use accepted static precautions. Allow time for the customer to backup the system if needed; do the necessary paperwork upon completion. The 5500 may be in one of three different cabinets; the BA213, BA430, or the H9644. Consult the corresponding service manuals for proper system shutdown and module access. This document makes no attempt to address all possible scenarios that can lead up to the removal of the M7638-AA from the system. 1. Remove the M7638-AA module from the system. a. Remove the new module from the kit. Fill out a repair tag (see page 3), attach the tag to the module and return it to the packaging of the new module. b. Install the new module and test (power up self test). c. The M7638-AA label on the bulkhead must be modified to reflect the new H04 or higher revision. The same is true for any applicable site guides. d. After completion of testing, the system is ready for operation in accordance with procedures applicable to the customer/site procedures. e. Follow example (see page 3) when recording your labor activity. 2. Return old module through normal logistics channels. 3. The upgrade is complete. +---------------------------+ | | | | | | | | | | FCO KN220-F002 | d | i | g | i | t | a | l | | | | | | | | | | | PAGE 3 OF 3 +---------------------------+ | _________________________________|______________________________________ LARS EXAMPLE USA GIA EUROPE CATEGORY F Activity- (a)Contract and Warranty W U Y (b)IN-DEC Contract/Warranty K Hardware Segment Code 111 111 111 Non Contract/Non Warranty F F F (c)RTD/Off-Site Agreement F Product Line 01 01 DEC Option KN220-AA KN220-AA KN220-AA Type of Call M M M Action Taken D D I Fail Area-Module-FCO Comments KN220-F002 KN220-F002 KN220-F002 Material Used EQ-01652-01 EQ-01652-01 EQ-01652-01 (a) Warranty Optimum, Warranty Standard and Warranty Basic (on-site) Agreements.
