It is also required to upgrade an LN03 to an LN03 Plus. ******************************************** * * * WARNING * * * * All power must be OFF before beginning * * this operation. * * * ******************************************** Utilizing the LN03 Pocket Service Guide, EK-OLN03-PS-002, perform the following: 1. Remove the cover (see page 86, paragraph 2.32). 2. Remove the 29-24988 Controller Board (see page 92, paragraph 2.35). ********************************************* * * * CAUTION * * * * Use proper ESD protection to protect * * the Controller for static discharge. * * * ********************************************* 3. Use the diagrams shown in Figure 1 (page 5) and Figure 2 (page 6) of this document to locate the ROMs to be replaced. 4. Remove ROM #4, at location IC39, and replace it with the new ROM, P/N 23-221E5. 5. Remove ROM #5, at location IC38, and replace it with the new ROM, P/N 23-220E5. 6. Remove ROM #10, at location IC72, and replace it with the new ROM, P/N 23-223E5. 7. Check the replaced ROMs to make sure that they are all correctly seated and that no pins are bent. 9. Re-install the Controller Board by performing steps 3,2, and 1 of the procedure outlined on page 92, paragraph 2.35 in the Pocket Service Guide. 10. Remove the 29-25334 Controller Board (see page 92, paragraph 2.35). 11. Use diagram shown in Figure 3, page 7 of this document to locate ROMs to be replaced. 12. Remove ROM at location IC39 and replace it with new ROM, P/N 23-155E6. 13. Remove ROM at location IC72 and replace it with new ROM, P/N 23-156E6. 14. Check the new Roms to make sure that they are all correctly seated and that no pins are bent. 15. Re-install the Controller Board by performing steps 3, 2, and 1 of the procedure in the Pocket Service Guide (page 92, paragraph 2.35). 16. Re-install the cover by reversing steps 1-7 on page 86, paragraph 2.32 in the Pocket Service Guide. 11. Perform the LN03 self-test as indicated on page 2, paragraph 1.2.1 in the Pocket Service Guide. 12.
