Use the LN03 Pocket Service Guide, EK-0LN03-PC-002 and perform the following: ************************************************* * NOTE * * Before removing any parts be sure that all * * power is removed from the printer. * ************************************************* 1. Remove rear cover. 2. Remove Plus Controller Module. ************************************************** * CAUTION * * Use proper ESD protection to protect module * * from static discharge. * ************************************************** 3. Refer to attachment ( Figure 1) for correct locations of ROMs to be removed and replaced. 4. Remove ROM in location E26 and replace it with new ROM 23-207E6-0-0. 5. Remove ROM in location E29 and replace it with new ROM 23-208E6-0-0. *************************************************** * NOTE * * Check installed ROMs and insure that they are * * seated correctly and that there are no bent * * pins. * *************************************************** 6. Reinstall Plus Module and cover by reversing steps above. 7. Perform LN03 self test in accordance with the Pocket Service Guide. The self test sheet should now indicate a plus revision level of V1.1. 8. When all tests have been passed the installation is complete. 9. Update The Site Management Guide to reflect this FCO. 10.
