Shut down system by executing shutdown command procedure. 2. Set five-position keyswitch on controller panel to OFF and set circuit breaker CB1 on power controller to OFF. 3. Set all memory power supply switches to OFF position. +-------------------------------------------------------+ | WARNING | | ------- | | If memory power supply switch is on and circuit | | breaker on power controller is set to OFF, battery | | backup unit (if installed as an option) will be | | turned on. To turn off battery backup unit, | | memory power supply must be turned OFF. | +-------------------------------------------------------+ 4. Set up the VELOSTAT Kit: - Unfold the VELOSTAT mat to full size (24x24). - Attach the 15' ground cord to the VELOSTAT snap fastener on the mat. - Attach the alligator clip end of the ground cord to a good ground on the 11/78X. - Attach the wrist strap to either wrist and the alligator clip to a convenient portion of the mat. 5. Remove the two M8375 modules from slots 10 and 12 and place them on the mat. 6. Inspect the removed M8375 modules. If they are at rev "D1" re-install them and proceed to step 12. 7. If the M8375 modules are below revision "D1", proceed to the next step and return the removed M8375 modules ASAP to the designated repair center for upgrade. 8. Place the box EQ-01423-01 with the (2) new M8375 modules on the VELOSTAT Mat. 9. Remove each module from the box and the protective covering and lay them flat on the VELOSTAT mat. This will bring the modules to the same potential as the CPU and eliminate static discharge damage. 10. Insure that each new M8375 module is at Revision "D1". _ _ _ _ _ _ _ | FCO MS780-H-R-001 | | | | | | | | | |d|i|g|i|t|a|l| | PAGE 3 OF 8 |_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | _______________________________|_________________________________________ 11. Install one M8375 module in slot 10 and the other M8375 module in slot 12. 12. Remove the M8376 module from slot 11 and place it on the mat. 13. Inspect the removed M8376 module. If it is at Part Rev "E1" re-install and proceed to step 17. 14. If the M8376 module is below Part Revision "E1", proceed to the next step and return the module to the designated repair center for upgrade. 15. Remove the new M8376 module from the EQ kit and the protective covering and lay it flat on the velostat mat. 16. Insure that the new M8376 module is at Revision "E1". Install the new module in slot 11. 17. This FCO changes the system revision on both the 11/780 and 11/785 systems which contain MS780-H memory option, as outlined below.
