IN-PLANT EFFECTIVITY: JUN 84

FIELD EFFECTIVITY: Essentially, all the RA60 Units are affected, but 
this FCO applies only to those Units that are in a Cabinet that 
contains three (3) Drives or to Units that will be added to a Cabinet 
that will contain three (3) Drives.  This FCO  addresses an 
interference problem that occurs between the second and the third 
Drive.

QUICK CHECK: Check for one (1) inch Bezel versus a two (2) inch Bezel 
between the Top and Second Drive.

The DEC on-site labor charge will be the time required to install and test
the FCO at the then current hourly rate.

PROBLEM: The problem is with disk packs that fall into a suspect 
datecode range.

IN-PLANT EFFECTIVITY: FEB 85

FIELD EFFECTIVITY: All RA60-P Disk Packs built prior to 12 May 1984 fall into 
the suspect range for defective packs.  The attached procedure for 
identification of a suspect pack (See FCO) will define the method for making a 
correct determination.


QUICK CHECK: See Problem Description on page 2 of this FCO.

The DEC on-site labor charge will be the time required to install and test
the FCO at the then current hourly rate.

FIELD EFFECTIVITY: Inspect all RA60 Disk Drives and determine the 
revision level of the Drive Logic Module and the backplane module.

QUICK CHECK: Refer to the FCO Rework Instructions for procedures to 
determine the revision level of the Backplane and the Drive Logic 
Module.

the FCO at the then current hourly rate.
