Replace | | all 874-D Revision A, B, and C controllers in accordance with the | | following configurations: 1. Retrofit all RA81-CA/CE H9642 (Three High) | | Cabinet with any number of RA drive configurations. 2. Retrofit all | | RA81-DA/DE H9642 (Three High) Cabinet with any number of RA drive | | configurations. 3. Retrofit all RA81-EA/EE H9642 (Three High) Cabinet | | configurations. See page 2 for further information. | |___________________________________________________________________________| | Problem/Symptoms: The Arrowhart L5-30P power plug has insufficient | | clamping force to supply the amount of current needed to support a full | | cabinet configuration. The power cable is required to have 10 gauge wire | | instead of 12 gauge wire. See page 2 for further information. | |___________________________________________________________________________| | Quick Check: RA81-CA/CE, DA/DE, EA/EE, Three High H9642 Cabinet contains | | power controller 874-D and is Revision D or higher. | |___________________________________________________________________________| | Compatibility/Prerequisite FCO: N/A | Est. To insure compliance of this "R" coded FCO, all H9642 (Three High) Cabinet configurations that contain either, ONE, TWO, or THREE RA Drives must implement the FCO due to the possibility of future add-ons. NOTE: This FCO implements ECO: 874-D-MK003 and 874-D-MK004 for the 874-D Power Controller. Problem/Symptom: Continued from page 1. ---------------------------------------- Insufficient clamping force with increased current causes contact resistance to rise, resulting in excess heat to develop. In time, this heat reaches a point of melting the Arrowhart L5-30P power plug. FCO RA81X-R016 STEPS 874-D Power Controller --------------------------------------------- 1. Request the Customer "Dismount" all of the RA81 Drives in the H9642 Cabinet to be reworked. 2. Depress the "A" and the "B" Port Switches on the Operator Control Panel. (on the front of the drives) to the "OUT" position. 3. Spin the Drives down by depressing the "RUN/STOP" switches on the Operator Control Panel (on the front of the drives) to the "OUT" position. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ | FCO RA81X-R016 | | | | | | | | | |d|i|g|i|t|a|l| | PAGE 3 OF 13 |_|_|_|_|_|_|_| | | _______________________________|_________________________________________ 4.
