PROBLEM: The following Symptoms occur: Excessive bad blocks, intermittent I/O 
errors, inability to retrieve data, header not found, servo burst (S1) 
amplitude at cylinder 255, less thN 500 MV.

IN-PLANT EFFECTIVITY: NOV 84

FIELD EFFECTIVITY: Part 1. Sections 1 thru 6: All RL02 Drives are 
suspect, if the Symptoms listed on page 2 are encountered.  Part 2. 
Section 7: All drives lack this Sector Transducer Flux Shield.

QUICK CHECK: None.
The DEC on-site labor charge will be the time required to install and test
the FCO at the then current hourly rate.
