Shut down the system by executing the normal Shutdown Command Procedure. 2. Turn the upper key switch on systems console panel fully counterclockwise. Note: Step #2 shuts off the output of the battery backup unit if present on the system. To ensure total power off to the system pull the power circuit breaker on the H405 AC Power Controller, located on the lower right side at the back of the system. Unplug system. 3. Open the rear door of the CPU cabinet. 4. Locate and unplug the 17-01567-01 cable connected to the XTC module which is located in the upper right corner. *********************************************************************** * NOTE * * * * J5 DESIGNATOR ON THE XTC MODULE, 20-29176-01, MAY BE COVERED BY THE * * MODULE SERIAL NUMBER LABEL. J5 IS THE CENTER CONNECTOR OF THE THREE * * CONNECTORS LOCATED AT THE TOP OF THE XTC POWER SEQUENCER MODULE. * *********************************************************************** 5. Open the I/O bulkhead connections tray which is located above the cooling system and standard I/O connections panel just below the power regulators. This can be accomplished by removing the six phillips head screws located on either side of the tray. 6. Locate and disconnect the system console terminal cable, BC22D-25 (just below the I/O bulkhead connections tray.) Remove the two standoff screws using a 3/16" nut driver. 7. Remove the 17-01567-01 cable by feeding it through all cable clamps. 8. Install the new 17-01567-01 cable, Rev "C1" by reversing steps 4 through 7. 9. Scrap the old cable assembly. 10. Plug in the system. Apply power to the system by pushing the Circuit Breaker to the "ON" position. Power up the system by turning the upper key switch on the systems console panel clockwise to the "ENABLE" position. 11. Bring up the operating system. 12. Update the Site Management Guide to reflect this FCO. 13. Report the FCO activity on a LARS form in the "Module/fail area/FCO".
