The following are the steps required to replace those parts in customer systems. If the system is running, broadcast a shutdown notice to users affording them reasonable time to log off/stop processes. 2. Disable the 48 VDC Buss, by turning the front panel keyswitch to the "OFF" position. 3. Open the front and rear doors of the cabinet. 4. At the rear of the cabinet, shut the circuit breaker off by pushing the handle down. 5. Disconnect the system power cord. 6. From the front of the cabinet, remove all H7263 regulators and filter modules. To remove the regulators, loosen the two captive screws (Phillips), and slide the power regulator out from the front of the cabinet. *************************************************************** * CAUTION * * * * The power regulator weighs 20 kg (40.4 lb). Because * * of the height of this unit in the cabinet, you should not * * remove the power regulator from the cabinet by yourself. * *************************************************************** To remove any filler modules, do the following: - Loosen the captive screws at the top and bottom of the module. - Grasp the handles and remove the module by sliding it forward. 7. Loosen the 4 captive screws on the AC Box, where the regulators attach to to the AC Input Box. 8. At the rear of the cabinet, remove the ground strap at the AC input box end (8mm nut). 9. Remove the right plastic cover from the DC distribution box (located above the AC box). 10. Pull the bracket attached to the DC distribution box up and push the bracket to the right to hold it in place. (Don't remove the left plastic cover.) 11. Install AC Box from the rear of the cabinet. 2. Install the right plastic cover from the DC box. 3. Re-attach the ground strap. 4. Tighten the four captive screws on AC box. 5. Install all H7263 regulators and filter modules. 6. Connect the system power cord. 7. Re-power the system and check for proper AC input box operations. 8. Insure the system powers up and passes its power-up self tests. If the system fails to pass power-up tests, refer to the appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures as the power-up self test failure would indicate. 9. Report this FCO activity on the LARS form in the "Fail Area/Module /FCO/ Comments" column as follows:: FCO 7XXX-F003. (see page 5) 4:1 Cable Replacement --------------------- If any 17-03061-01 4:1 cables were consumed at revision "C01" they must be replaced on the customers systems. 1. Order EQ-01675-02 and replace on customer system. 2.
