PROBLEM: 1. The Host module does not work on ports #1, #2, #3. 2. The 
status reporting misses reports. 3. The remote alarm checking works 
improperly. 4. The remote initialize can hang the unit. 5. There is no 
space left on the remote PROMS.

CORRECTION: Extensive changes to the Host and Remote firmware to 
correct problems and reduce cost.

IN-PLANT EFFECTIVITY: OCT 83

FIELD EFFECTIVITY: Rework all the M7182 Modules (Revision "D" or 
lower), all the M8990 Modules (Revision "E" or lower), and all the 
M8991 modules (Revision "H" or lower) with new PROMS. Rework all the 
spares stock (with the acceptable Revision levels) with new PROMS. 
This FCO incorporates ECOs CMR01-00-KA005 and M8991-00-KA005.

QUICK CHECK: Host PROMS must be 2C-P01HN-0S AND 2C-PO1HN-1S. The 
remote PROMS must be 2C-P01JP-0S and 2C-P01JP-1S.

The DEC on-site labor charge will be the time required to install and test
the FCO at the then current hourly rate.
