_ DOL, DF112-I001, DF112 Modem Module JAN 86

PROBLEM: (1) When the DF112 answers an incoming call, it can hang up 
with 2 seconds of going off hook; (2) The Autodialer can respond to 
system messages, possibly crashing some operating systems; (3) Manual 
Answer fails to operate. 

FIELD EFFECTIVITY: Replace DF112 Modem module, Rev "C3," "D3," or 
earlier, with Rev "F1," "F2," or later when Problems/Symptoms are 
evident. Phase in DF112 Rev "F1" or "F2" as the minimum acceptable 
revision for incoming stock to SR17. Purge all previous DF112 Module 
revisions at SR17.

QUICK CHECK: Revision stamp "F1" or "F2" on the DF112 Module fingers. 


The DEC on-site labor charge will be the time required to install and 
test the FCO at the current hourly rate.
