PROBLEM: DDI Sequencer does not latch read and write length errors long 
enough to clear DI request. 

CORRECTION: Change two FPLA's. 

IN-PLANT EFFECTIVITY: March 31, 1983 

FIELD EFFECTIVITY: Retrofit all DR780's Revision level 01.
The minimum acceptable revision of Etch revision "B" M8299 in spares 
stock is part revision "C1". 

QUICK CHECK: Presence of FPLA, 23-08806-00, in location E99 on M8299 module.

A revised FCO was released on 14 September 1983 which supersedes the 
original release of 14 July 1983. It provided for the following 
changes: On pages 1 and 3, C1 was changed to D1. On page 2, Part Number
 36-19209-03 was changed to 36-19209-04. 

A second revision for this FCO was released 20 January 1984 which 
supersedes the first revision of 14 September 1983.  It provides the 
following changes: On page 1, the Self Maintenance kit was added (EQ-01181-01).
On page 2, information is provided to Customers on the procedure for 
ordering this kit. 

The DEC on-site labor charge will be the time required to install and test
the FCO at the then current hourly rate.
