_ DEC-O-LOG for FT810 _ DOL, FT810-O001, Version V1.0 of VMB firmware & V1.3 CPU firmware FT810-O001 JUN 94 APPLICABILITY: This "O" coded FCO should be installed on ALL VAXft 810 shipped thru March 1994, upgrading all Revision "D" and "E" ATM boards to Revision "F". This FCO incorporates the following ECO's: (1) 5421083-BXB02, (2) 5421083-TWO003, and (3) 5421083-TWO004. PROBLEM & SYMPTOM: Problems existed in version V1.0 of the VMB firmware and V1.3 of the CPU firmware. These releases of firmware correct those known deficiencies. 1.) V1.0 VMB fix for dual session terminal/ELN problem 2.) Zone "B" not correctly blocked from executing a boot command when other zone running operating system using V1.3 3.) V1.3 diagnostics may fail if memory installed in increments of 64 Meg. (Failure is Group 2, test 6, subtest 1, of RBD's.) 4.) V1.3 did not support examine or deposit commands in terminal duplex mode. SOLUTION: Install V1.1 of the VMB firmware if your ATM modules are currently rev. "D" to bring them to rev. "E". Install V1.4 of the CPU Flash ROM to bring them to rev. "F". This new firmware corrects the above listed deficiencies. QUICK CHECK: Visually inspect the I/O ATM, KD560-AA, for the following identifiers on the parts listed below, to help identify the "CORRECT NEW" part at locations: E150 - E150, or 23-037Z4-00, or FBF0 E151 - E151, or 23-036Z4-00, or B06A E152 - E152, or 23-006Z4-00, or 955A FCO KIT ORDERING: EQ-01701-01 2 23-006Z4-00 2 23-036Z4-00 2 23-037Z4-00 Roms 1 ROM removal tool 47-00141-01 FA-05038-01 1 FA Document _ DOL, FT810-O002, High ground currents cause system errors MAY 94 APPLICABILITY: This "O" coded FCO must be installed in all DEC 4000-6XX AXP and VAXFT Model 810 systems that contain a 20A FEU (H7884-AA). This FCO incorporates ECO No.H7884-TWO003. PROBLEM & SYMPTOM: Problem: High ground currents in H7884-AA cause random system errors. Symptom: 1. DEC4000-6XX systems hang randomly. 2. DEC4000-6XX systems exhibit power-up random (PSC error code 9) failures. 3. DEC4000-6XX systems' PSC reports fan speed errors randomly. 4. VAXft810 systems (see above) SOLUTION: Install a new FEU H7884-AA (part revision D06). (Refer to APPLICABILITY section) QUICK CHECK: If the system contains a 20A FEU (H7884-AA, part revision below "D06") it needs this FCO.
