Perform an orderly system shutdown. 2. Power off the 8600 by turning the SCP Terminal Control Switch to the OFF position. 3. Open the front panel door and set the main Circuit Breaker (CB1), of the 876A, to the OFF position. 4. Open both rear doors of the CPU cabinet. 5. Beginning on either side, remove the air muffler from the rear door by removing the 3 nuts at the top and lift out. 6. Remove the protective tape at the outer edge of the new air muffler and install muffler using the nuts from the previous steps. 7. Repeat Steps #5 and #6 (of this procedure), for the air muffler on the other door. 8. Discard the removed air mufflers. 9. Close the rear doors. 10. Set the main Circuit Breaker (CB1), to the ON position. 11. Turn the SCP Terminal Control Switch to the ON position. 12. Re-boot operating system. 13. Have customer verify that the system is operational. 14. Make entry in the Site Management Guide. 15.
