_ DEC-O-LOG for KC780 _ DOL, KC780-M0001, RX01-VA APR 84 PROBLEM: The Floppy Drive Motor AC wires are too loose and can come into contact with the blades of the Muffin Fan Assembly. This results in cutting the wire and shorting the wires to the fan hub and the chassis. CORRECTION: Dress the Floppy Drive Motor's AC wires so that there is no excess wire near the Muffin Fan and lock in place with the Cable Tie. IN-PLANT EFFECTIVITY: Feb 84 FIELD EFFECTIVITY: Retrofit the Floppy Drive Motor Power Cords used on the RX01-VA Floppy Disk Drive in the KC780 Subsystem. QUICK CHECK: Presence of a Cable Tie just to the right of the Chassis Cable Tie. The DEC on-site labor charge will be the time required to install and test the FCO at the then current hourly rate.
