_ DOL, LN08-O001, Printers exhibit light/no printing

APPLICABILITY:
 This "O" FCO should be performed on all the applicable 
dash  variations of the LN08's and LN08R's.  For 
example: LN08-CA and LN08R-CA,  and similarly for 
-AD, -AE, -AG, -AI, -AS, -AT, -AZ, -CB, -CC, and -CD.

There are a total of 123 of the 110V units, and 68 of the 
220V units that need the FCO.  They are identified by 
their serial numbers given in the attached Product 
Correction Order (PCO) document.   [The PCO is 
considered  to be an integral part of this FA document.]

PROBLEM & SYMPTOM: 
The problem printers exhibit light/no printing as identified 
in the Field Blitz: TD # 1058, issued on/around April 
1992.             

SOLUTION: 
Determine if the customer's LN08 (DEClaser 3200 or 
3250) printer is the affected printer by checking the serial 
number on the pop-up cover as shown on Tag 2 on pp 
1-8 of the accompanying Product Correction Order 
(PCO),  and matching it with that given in Tables 1-1/1-2 
on pp 1-9.   Then follow the instructions in the PCO to 
correct the problem.

_ DOL, LN08-F002, Printers exhibit minor software bugs

APPLICABILITY: 
This "F" FCO should be performed on all the applicable 
dash  variations of the LN08's and LN08R's.  For 
example: LN08-CA and LN08R-CA,    and similarly for 
-AD, -AE, -AG, -AI, -AS, -AT, -AZ, -CB, -CC, and -CD.                                                                                     

There are a total of 194 of the 110V units, and 106 of 
the 220V units that   need the FCO.   They are identified 
by their serial numbers given in the attached tables.                                                             

PROBLEM & SYMPTOM: 
The problem printers exhibit minor software bugs and do  
not support the MMF accessory as indicated in the ECO 
# 2929308-DSG001,   issued on/around 24th April 1992.                                          

SOLUTION:
Determine if the customer's LN08 (DEClaser 3200 or 
3250) printer  is the affected printer by checking the serial 
number on the pop-up cover and matching it with the 
accompanying serial no. tables given in this document.   
Then follow the instructions given in the *Microfiched 
hardcopy* of  the ECO.

_ DOL, LN08-F003, Slow PostScript printing

APPLICABILITY: 
This "F" coded FCO should be performed on all 
variations of DEClaser 3250's LN08-R and LN08-Us that 
have PostScript firmware below version 47-58. 
                                                                              
There are approximately 3,466 DEClaser 3250s that 
require this FCO. This  FCO will upgrade the PostScript 
Description Language Option (PDL) Board's  firmware to 
PostScript version 47-58.                                        

PROBLEM  & SYMPTOM:                                                           
 (1.) Fixes slow PostScript printing due to memory 
fragmentation.             
 (2.) This FCO also upgrades PostScript firmware to 
version 47-58.            


SOLUTION:                                                                    
 By following the instructions included with this FCO, you 
will replace four  PostScript EPROMs on the DEClaser 
3250 PDL board.                            

QUICK CHECK:                                                                 
This FCO does not need to be installed if the DEClaser 
3250 PDL board PostScript firmware is at least Version 
47-58. Check the DEClaser 3250 powerup test page.
