Perform an orderly System shut-down. 2. Turn the AC circuit breaker off and remove the AC power cord from the rear of the drive. 3. To extend the rack-mount chassis, perform the following: a. On cabinet configurations that have a stabilizer foot at the center bottom of the cabinet, extend the foot out to the front of the cabinet until it reaches its limit (See Figure 1). b. At the rear of the cabinet, open the door or remove the protective panel. Remove the round LESI cable from the connector at the rear of the drive chassis, (See Figure 2) by loosening the two captive screws on the cable connector, and pulling the connector straight out. c. At the rear of the drive chassis, remove the rear plate by loosening the three captive screws (See Figure 2) and pull the plate up and out of the chassis. d. At the rear of the drive chassis, remove both shipping brackets on each of the chassis slides (See Figure 3) by removing the single screw securing the bracket to each slide assembly. e. From the rear, push the drive chassis out on its slides until it reaches its maximum extension (See Figure 4). 4. To remove the Rackmount Cover/Bezel Assembly, perform the following: a. Loosen but do not remove the two screws on each side of the cover/bezel assembly (See Figure 5). b. To remove the KLESI Cable from the controller module, perform the following: a. Remove the module cover plate, by releasing the two 1/4 turn fasteners at the front of the drive. Lift the cover off by rotating it up from the front and off the studs at the rear. b. Rotate the controller module up on its hinges to reach the connectors. c. Release the cable connector for the 50 conductor KLESI cable. 6. To remove the KLESI Cable from the Back Panel, perform the following: a. Remove the two connector jack-screws (Item 18) from the rear of the back panel, releasing the cable (See Figure 8, Detail B). b. Note: At this time the KLESI Cable Connector Plate should have the insulating washers and the Ground Jumper removed, per the Prerequisite FCO RC25-M-001. 7. Install the New KLESI Cable (P/N 17-01150-01) on the Back Panel using the screws removed in step (6.a). 8. Coil the cable as shown in view J-J (See Figure 8 ) and connect this to the controller Module. 9. Reinstall the Module Cover. 10. To replace the cover/bezel assembly, perform the following: a. Position the cover/bezel assembly over the chassis and lower it over the retaining screws (See Figure 5). b. Slide the cover to the rear and engage the two front pins, and complete by tightening the two retaining screws. 11. To retract the chassis, perform the following: a. From the front of the cabinet press the slide's release buttons, and slide the chassis back into the cabinet. Make sure that no cables are pinched in the rear. b. Reinstall the rear plate to the chassis. Make sure that no cables get caught between the plate and the cover assembly. d. Reconnect the round KLELSI cable to the rear plate. e. Push the stabilizer foot back into the cabinet. 12. Attach the AC line cord to the drive(s), and turn on the AC circuit breaker. a. Run internal verification diagnostics. b. Without disk cartridges installed, apply power to the System perform Test 1: Power-On Check. c. Load a disk cartridge into the drive and perform Test 2: Disk and Head Load. d. Perform Test 3: Quick Verification on the drive under test (both master and slave should be tested separately). e. The FCO installation is now complete. Table Top Drive Procedure: 13. Perform an orderly System shut-down. 14. Turn the AC circuit breaker off and remove the AC power cord from the rear of the drive. a. At the rear of the drive release the four captive phillips head screws that secure the cover to the rear bezel (See Figure 9). b. Grasp the Bezel/Cover and slide it forward, this step disengages the two front locating pins. Now lift the cover straight up and off the drive (See Figure 10). 15. Remove the KLESI Cable from the controller module. a. Remove the module cover plate by releasing the two 1/4 turn fasteners at the front of the drive. Lift the cover off by rotating it up from the front and off the studs at the rear. b. Rotate the controller module up on its hinges in order to reach the connectors. c. Remove the KLESI Cable from the Back Panel. a. Remove the two connector jack-screws from the rear of the back panel, releasing the cable. 17. Install the New KLESI Cable (P/N 17-01150-01) on the Back Panel using the screws removed in step (16.a). 18. Coil the cable as shown in view J-J of Figure 8 and connect to the controller Module. 19. Reinstall the Module Cover. 20. To replace the cover/bezel assembly, perform the following: a. Position the cover/bezel assembly over the chassis and lower it over the retaining studs (See Figure 10). b. Slide the cover to the rear and engage two front pins, and tighten the four retaining screws. 21. Attach the AC line cord to the drive(s), and turn on the AC circuit breaker. 22. To run internal verification diagnostics, perform the following: a. Without disk cartridges installed, apply power to the System and perform Test 1: Power-On Check. b. Load a disk cartridge into the drive and perform Test 2: Disk and Head Load. c. Perform Test 3: Quick Verification on the drive under test (both master and slave should be tested separately). d.
