PROBLEM: This FCO will incorporate NRCS and other new features in the 
firmware; fix firmware bugs in the ReGIS and Tektronix graphic modes.

IN-PLANT EFFECTIVITY:  JAN 85

FIELD EFFECTIVITY:  Rework VT240's and VT 241's that require NRCS 
(National Replacement Character Set) functionality.

QUICK CHECK:  In Setup "VT240 V2.1" is displayed in the upper right 
hand corner of display or at locations E19 = part number 23-007E6, E20 
= 23-006E6, E21 = 23-005E6, E22 = 23-004E6, E100 = 23-008E5.

This FCO supersedes the original release of 8 February 1985 and 
provides the following changes:  The ROM P/N's have been changed as follows:  
E19 = 23-059E6-00; E20 = 23-058E6-00; E21 = 23-057E6-00; E22 = 23-056E6-00; 
E100 = 23-008E6-00.  The ROMS with P/N's E39, E85 and E131 remain 
"EMPTY."  The EQ-01292-02 Kit, - Section V "Terminal Controller Board 
Installation" and "Integral Modem Installation (Half Size Board)" has been 
deleted.  

The DEC on-site labor charge will be the time required to install and 
test the FCO at the current hourly rate.

PROBLEM: Connectors used on power supply cable 17-00428-01 can
develop high resistance. This may be seen as a shaky VR201 display 

FIELD EFFECTIVITY: Replace DC power cable P/N 17-00428-01 with
P/N 17-00428-02 on all VT240 and VT241's. This FCO implements
ECO# VS240-ML010. 

QUICK CHECK: DC power supply cable has part number 17-00428-02 label.
