Turn the terminal's power switch to the OFF (0) position. 2. If the rear panel is installed, remove it as follows: a. Grasp the top of the rear panel and pull toward you. b. If there is a cable connected to the 25-pin Comm1 port, slide the panel down the cable and away from the terminal. Otherwise, lower the panel and remove from the terminal. Remove the V1.1 ROM cartridge as follows: ******************************************* * CAUTION * * AC POWER MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE * * TERMINAL BEFORE PROCEEDING. * ******************************************* a. Lift the handle on the ROM cartridge. b. Remove the phillips screw on the bottom of the ROM cartridge. This screw holds the ROM cartridge to the CPU module. c. To remove the ROM cartridge, grasp the handle and pull firmly. To install the V2.1 ROM cartridge, reverse steps a. through c. 5. Turn the terminal's power switch to the ON (1) position. 6. Ensure that the terminal completes a successful power-up self-test. 7. Update the Site Management Guide to reflect this FCO. 8. Report LARS data as per example below.
